Have you ever caught yourself believing that you need a big audience before you can sell your offer?


Maybe you think once you grow a bigger audience you’ll sell MORE.

Well you aren’t alone!! In fact, there are thousands of emerging online entrepreneurs who believe that once they have a big enough audience they’ll start selling more offers.

And I get it. Everyone and their dog is selling a course on how to grow your social following, email list, and audience. Heck…I’ve even seen gurus promising to help you build a massive social following in 30 days. 

So it’s easy to get caught in the trap of believing that you need to grow a big audience before you’re ready to start selling your offer or selling more offers. But if this were true wouldn’t everyone with a massive social following or audience make oodles of money. 

We know for a fact that isn’t true!! 

There are thousands of online influencers with massive followings who are broke. Take Lissette Calveiro for instance. With over 45K followers on IG, you’d assume she was living the high life. However, she was 10K in debt. She’s even talked about how her quest for stardom left her in financial ruin. 

Lissette is one of many online influencers who’ve grown a massive audience but are flat broke. So turning a profit really has nothing to do with your audience size. 

This is the downfall with the online space. They teach you that size matters, but in reality that is the furthest from the truth. It’s the lie you’ve been told.

In fact, all successful entrepreneurs know that growing a highly engaged audience is the key to building a profitable business. And that vanity numbers don’t pay the bills. So they focus on creating real connections with their ideal clients.

That is why I want to share three ways you attract more paying clients, while growing your audience at the same time.

1. Start Selling Your Offer

Even if you have a small audience start selling your offer now. It’s the fastest way to attract paying clients, but also to gain clarity on what your audience really wants. If you show up for your clients, they’ll start recommending you. And you and I both know that this type of word-of-mouth marketing is one of the best ways to grow quickly. So sitting and waiting to grow your audience before you start selling your offer is actually what’s keeping you from making money.

2. Focus on Serving Your Existing Audience

If you’re preoccupied with growing your audience or believing you don’t have enough yet, your audience will feel that energy. And why do you deserve more people, if you aren’t focused on serving the people you already have. Set your intention on serving your existing audience and you’ll start to watch your audience multiply. 

3. Create Shareable Content

Think about your favourite online expert or someone you can’t seem to get enough of their content. Let’s take Gary V for instance. He’s one of the fastest growing influencers, because he creates highly shareable content that speaks to people's beliefs. If you’re not a fan of his, consider Mel Robbins or Danielle LaPorte. Take a look at how they create highly shareable content.

Now the question is, do you want to follow the path of struggling online experts who continue believing that they have to grow a bigger audience before they’ll start selling more offers?
